Sarah Barry is a talented educator who teaches honors English at Centennial High School and she genuinely cares about her students. During the pandemic-induced lockdown, she made a point of regularly checking in with her students to make sure they were okay and to see if they needed anything. She also truly takes the time to get to know each student and looks for opportunities for them to shine. She motivates students and encourages them to try new things, such as competing in the school poetry slam, participating in the Thurber House Young Writers series, or applying to colleges with strong writing programs.
