Congratulations to Jayne Shannon from Beechwood Elementary in Whitehall, who is our Teacher of the Month for January, presented by Brain Balance, Modern Office Methods, Jet’s Pizza, and Sunny 95. A lifelong Whitehall resident, Mrs. Shannon has been an elementary teacher for 30 years with 26 years of teaching in Whitehall City Schools. In 2001, Jayne was awarded the Whitehall Educator of the Year honor. In 2010, she was selected as the Ohio PTA Teacher of the Year- District 10. Her success is beyond the accolades. Even in her final year of teaching before retirement, she volunteers for after-school tutoring programs and continues her education to better communicate with students who have language barriers.
