Congratulations to Amy Anderson and Jen McDonald, 3rd Grade Teachers at Buckeye Woods Elementary in South-Western City Schools, who are our Teachers of the Month for January, presented by Brain Balance, Jet’s Pizza, Peace Love & Little Donuts, and Sunny 95. They use sports team analogies and themes to motivate the students and encourage teamwork and character-building. One project that the students worked on was called the “Kids Candy Company” and it began with a resume process. The students worked with their family to complete this resume which included listing 3 characteristics that would make them a good employee. Community leaders were invited to conduct face-to-face interviews with each student. Ultimately, each student was hired for a job in the company. Amy and Jen’s innovative approach to teaching is inspiring!
